I am a digitizer and admire machine embroidery designs. Most people do not know what this means. However, if you are passionate about machine embroidery, you know what it means. If I’m lucky, you also like what I do. I know that I like what I’m doing, so other people also like it. It’s just the best feeling in the world! Ten years ago, I finally went bankrupt and got my first embroidery machine. Before that, I don’t think I have much time to invest in it. Oh, I quickly changed my tune. When I quickly put into the mechanical embroidery world, my quilt passion occupied the back seat.
Soon after, I decided to try to create my own design. It was when I was addicted to life. As a digitizer, working for yourself is not fascinating or similar. I get up, drink coffee, take care of pets, and then walk to my computer in search of machine embroidery designs, like how to make it? How to use it? etc. If I’m doing a series of design work, then I’ll put it where I left.
If I don’t have a job at the moment, I can spend a full day experimenting and seeing where I want to go. Sometimes I am lucky and find my way right away. At other times, I eventually got a variety of designs with no rhythm or reason between them. However, even so, I have some new embroidery design options. Nothing is wasted. One of the problems I encountered as a designer was that I didn’t know what people were looking for in the machine embroidery designs they wanted. I first liked the design of red and lace, and then I liked those who looked well-built and well-shaped.
Not everyone likes this. I can only design things that I like, so my design may be out of touch with the design that needs them. In most cases, I just follow the rules I know. Because I’m also a creative seamstress, I digitized the design to consider the projects they were going to use. Most of my scenes are free. This is the part I really love because it gives me the opportunity to teach! The problems may arise of course, if my instructions contain specific embroidery items that others may not have. So, I must try to use only those most common items.
This is sometimes a challenge, but the challenge is exactly what I need to keep my career exciting. In rare cases, I will cooperate with other digitizers. One of our common problems is that we do not know what our followers like most. More lace? Less flowers? In-depth description of basic technology? We don’t really know unless someone contacts us to tell us what they want. Some people do not want to look like they complain, so do not contact us. Believe me, as long as the comments are respectful, they can complain as much as possible! Of course, the advice is more helpful!
If you are passionate about machine embroidery designs, why not call your favorite designer or send an e-mail to tell them how you feel about the design. If there is anything you are looking for and can’t find, tell them! Although we are all very creative, we always have no idea. Help us to help you, we will be happy to stitch!
